Rawalpindi: Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, Patron-in-Chief of Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, said Pakistan’s security, sustainable development and stability must be given the highest priority. He called mutual differences, hostility and conflict poisonous for the country and urged that unity, humility and good moral values be promoted to bring positive change.
He was addressing the monthly Mehfil-e-Zikr and Dars-e-Quran at the institute. Pir-e-Tariqat Allama Syed Shams-ur-Rehman Mashhadi attended as special guest and recited devotional poetry in praise of the Ahl-e-Bait (RA). Deputy Director Allama Sheikh Muhammad Qasim conducted the proceedings.
Shah said individuals should focus on self-improvement, character building and correcting their actions. He stressed that alongside progress in science, technology and defence, protecting the rights of the poor and underprivileged is equally essential. He urged adherence to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), along with humility, rather than arrogance and abuse of power.
Special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s security, prosperity and peace, and for the elevation of the Muslim Ummah. Scholars, spiritual leaders, citizens, devotees and women attended in large numbers.
