HYDERABAD :A task force led by SP Headquarters Zain Raza Baloch carried out a major anti-narcotics operation in Somro Goth, Hyderabad, raiding suspected drug-selling points. According to sources, a substantial quantity of drugs was seized and several suspected dealers were taken into custody.
Authorities have not yet officially confirmed the number or identities of those arrested, the type and amount of narcotics recovered, or whether any cases have been registered. Investigation is reportedly continuing.
SP Zain Raza Baloch said such operations will continue and that every possible measure will be taken to make Hyderabad drug-free. The campaign aims to curb the sale and distribution of narcotics and take legal action against those involved.
Residents welcomed the action, calling drugs a serious threat to public safety, social well-being and young people’s futures. They urged sustained enforcement, along with investigations into supply networks and those facilitating the trade.
The operation’s effectiveness, the report notes, will depend on follow-up legal proceedings, identification of the supply chain, and consistent efforts to prevent drug availability across the city.
