JHELUM: A delegation of the United Business Group (UBG) visited the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and congratulated its newly elected office-bearers, led by President Azhar Iqbal Dar. The delegation included UBG Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari, Central Core Committee Member Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari and Vehari Chamber group leader Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal.
The delegation informed the chamber’s leadership that UBG has nominated its Patron-in-Chief, S.M. Tanveer, for the presidency of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), and sought their support. The Jhelum Chamber’s office-bearers announced their backing for UBG and Tanveer, saying they would continue to stand with the group as before.
Zafar Bakhtawari said cooperation among chambers was vital to strengthening business unity and protecting collective interests. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari stressed that better coordination and a joint strategy could help tackle economic challenges. Dr. Fazal-ul-Haq Fazli and Kausar Ali Shah pledged continued cooperation with UBG, while Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal said stronger coordination would enhance the business community’s collective strength.
President Azhar Iqbal Dar thanked the delegation, and Raja Sajjad Akhtar called for continued joint efforts to promote business unity, development and effective representation.
