LAHORE: TCL has introduced its sixth-generation SQD-Mini LED television technology in Pakistan, building on display innovations initiated in 2019.
The company’s display manufacturing division, TCL CSOT, operates 12 panel production lines with cumulative investments exceeding 300 billion RMB. It holds a 28.8 per cent global market share in televisions measuring 85 inches and above, according to the company.
The SQD-Mini LED technology combines Super QLED, Precise Dimming Series and Ultra Color Filter to improve colour accuracy, brightness and contrast while reducing blooming and halo effects.
TCL claims the technology delivers peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits, more than 20,000 local dimming zones, zero colour crosstalk and a 60,000-hour lifespan.
The launch reflects growing demand for premium home entertainment in Pakistan, where consumers increasingly value immersive viewing, gaming performance and durability. TCL’s integrated manufacturing capabilities underpin its strategy to advance display engineering and quantum dot technology for next-generation televisions.
