Karachi, October 22, 2026: Spotify announced its Third Quarter 2026 results, reporting 306 million Premium Subscribers, with growth across every region, and 788 million Monthly Active Users. Gross margin and operating income came in ahead of expectations.
Premium Subscribers rose 9% year on year, while MAUs grew 11%. Total revenue increased 16% (14% in constant currency) to €5.0 billion. Gross margin improved by 136 basis points to 33.0%, and operating income reached €672 million. The company also continues expanding Audiobooks, which will reach more than 180 markets by the end of 2026.
Co-CEO Alex Norström said Spotify keeps compounding, invests where it sees a path to growth, and is moderating costs, with more runway ahead. Co-CEO Gustav Söderström argued that entertainment is well placed in the agentic age, since agents replace chores, whereas people want to spend more time on things they enjoy.
