RAWALPINDI:The sacrifices made during Shi’b Abi Talib stand as a shining chapter in the history of determination, steadfastness and devotion to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).Remaining steadfast in religious values is the responsibility of every Muslim.
The weekly gathering of Zikr and Quranic teachings was held at Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rawalpindi. Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim and the institution’s Chief Patron, Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, addressed the gathering.While referring to the historical events of Shi’b Abi Talib, Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah said that the sacrifices made by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his devoted companions offer a great lesson in patience, perseverance and loyalty. He emphasized that love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and devotion to the Ahl-e-Bait (the blessed family of the Prophet) are essential parts of the religious and spiritual heritage of Muslims.He said that the courage, truthfulness and sacrifices of Hazrat Ali al-Murtaza (RA) teach Muslims to remain steadfast in upholding the truth. He stressed the importance of principles, honesty, integrity and sincerity in religious and social affairs, adding that differences should be resolved through sound reasoning and scholarly dialogue. He further stated that true devotion to the Ahl-e-Bait (RA) requires high moral character, piety, knowledge and service to humanity.Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim highlighted the importance of the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, remembrance of Allah, love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and social reform.At the conclusion of the gathering, special prayers were offered for the security and prosperity of the country, unity among the Muslim Ummah, and the promotion of peace, tolerance and harmony in society.
