Islamabad: Mufti Abdul Raheem, Chancellor of Al-Ghazali University, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Prof Dr Ahmed Saad Alahmed, Worthy President and Acting Rector, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).
The two personalities share a profound background in higher education, eligion, Shariah, law and research.
Mufti Abdul Raheem is also Head (Mohtamim) of Jamia Tur Rasheed, Karachi, President of Majma Al Uloom Al Islamia, a madrasa examination board, and member of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
Their continuous meetings are in line with the international vision of the higher education institutions they head.
During the meeting, Mufti Abdul Raheem expressed his gratitude to the IIUI President for attending an international conference in Karachi.
He stated that the worthy president’s presence in the conference was the real value addition and a cause of honour and prestige for the organizers.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed warmly welcomed Mufti Abdul Raheem and acknowledged that he is a highly respected and valued scholar. He expressed his gratitude to Mufti Abdul Raheem for inviting him to the conference in Karachi and giving him an opportunity to convey the message of Holy Quran and Sunnah to a broader audience. He said that he will always make himself available for the noble cause of disseminating the message of Holy Quran and Sunnah among the Muslim Ummah from such prestigious platforms as the conference in Karachi.
He emphasized that IIUI and Jamia Al Gahazali are devoted to Islamic learning and they also share a common responsibility to strengthen unity and dignity of Muslim Ummah.
He highlighted the IIUI’s commitment to serving the Muslim Ummah across the world through education, research, intellectual engagement and the promotion of Islamic values.
The visiting delegation comprised Dr. Wali Khan Al Muzaffar, Advisor to the Chancellor, and Engr. Mufti Usman Yousuf, Member of the Board of Governors of Al-Ghazali University.
From the IIUI, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh, Vice President (Academics), and Dr. Saleh Sulaiman A. Alghofaili, Advisor to the President, attended the meeting.
