Montreal: Montreal-based SaaS company One Office (ZeGenie Inc.) has signed a commercial contract with Ziel Global, an Islamabad-based IT company with a global presence, to provide user-hosted, domain-specific email and a full office suite in Pakistan. The deal marks the entry of the first Canadian IT service provider in the country.
Customers can host the service on the cloud of their choice, including private servers, keeping data security in line with Government of Pakistan policies. The encrypted platform combines email, document editing, file sharing, chat, video calls, project management, ERP and AI integration in one application. Its prices are said to be less than half those of global competitors.
With millions of domain email and office suite subscriptions in Pakistan, each costing users an average of USD 84 a year, the company estimates savings of hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
One Office already serves governments and large enterprises in Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa through partners such as STC, Zain and Vodacom. Pakistan’s Consul General in Montreal, Faisal Abro, facilitated the agreement to attract international IT companies to Pakistan.
