Lahore :Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a video-link meeting with commissioners and deputy commissioners on October 23 to review price fluctuations of essential commodities. Prices of 10 items continued to fall, while most food and pulse prices stayed stable.

The meeting banned 20kg flour bags provincewide, allowing only 10kg bags. Ahead of Ramazan, she ordered controlled-price supplies of bananas, apples and dates, backed by adequate cold storage stocks. Authorities were also told to regulate loose milk sales, and the Price App will be upgraded.
