KARACHI : Hamdard University launched a pictorial book, A Legacy of Wisdom: Madinat al-Hikmah, a City of Learning and Culture, documenting the life, services and educational vision of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, at a ceremony held at a local hotel on October 22.

Sadia Rashid said the publication reflected her father’s lifelong mission to serve humanity and improve society. She expressed hope that it would introduce younger generations to his ideas and inspire them to pursue meaningful goals.
Professor Dr Imran Amin highlighted the transformation of more than 300 acres of barren land near the Hub River into Madinat al-Hikmah, envisioned as a centre of education, research and human service.
Renowned scientist Dr Atta-ur-Rahman also emphasised the importance of knowledge, research and human resources in national development.
