Faisalabad: A ceremony was held at the main Civil Defense office to orient youth of the Punjab Civil Defense Resilience Corps, Faisalabad. Director General of Civil Defense, Punjab, Zaigham Nawaz, attended as chief guest, with Mirza Zahid Iqbal as guest of honor. Chief Instructor Altaf Noorani, the stage secretary, outlined the Corps’ objectives. Speakers praised the volunteers for serving the public during earthquakes and floods without regard for their own safety. Rabbani reviewed the organization’s current challenges, while Akhtar called the Director General capable and courageous, noting it was an honor that he visited Faisalabad first, though not on an official tour.
