Takht Bhai: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Information and Public Relations Ansarullah Khalji visited the Takht Bhai Press Club (Registered) and held a detailed meeting with local journalists. Discussions covered issues facing the journalist community, challenges to press freedom, journalism’s role in society, and problems confronting regional press clubs.
Club President Muslim Khan Sabir, former Chairman Javed Alam Mohmand and several senior journalists attended.
Khalji listened to the journalists’ concerns and said Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information Samar Haroon Bilour is keenly interested in their welfare. He said a comprehensive strategy is being developed to provide better facilities and support.
He praised regional journalists for highlighting public issues and bringing them to the authorities’ attention, often without financial compensation. He stressed that free, responsible and constructive journalism is vital to society’s development and progress.
