Islamabad: The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26) will be held at the Jinnah Convention Centre on November 12–13, bringing together policymakers, mining executives, investors, financial institutions and technical experts. Organised by the Government of Pakistan and endorsed by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, it aims to turn dialogue into investment, partnerships and projects across exploration, processing and sustainable mining. OGDC is the founding partner, while strategic partners include PPL, Mari Energies, GHPL, Reko Diq Mining Company, PMPL and FWO. Wood Mackenzie is lead conference producer.
OGDC MD/CEO and PMIF President Ahmed Hayat Lak said Pakistan has a vast mineral base and investment-friendly policies, and that OGDC, already a joint venture partner in Reko Diq, wants to expand its mining footprint with global partners.
Speakers include Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Asim Munir and Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik, alongside international figures such as Barrick’s John Thornton, Ivanhoe’s Robert Friedland and representatives of the ADB and World Bank Group.
Sessions will cover critical minerals and the energy transition, early-stage exploration financing, workforce development, women in mining, infrastructure and export corridors. A technical conference will feature over 50 peer-reviewed papers, and an international exhibition will include a Mineral Expo and a European Pavilion.
PMIF25 drew 5,000 delegates from over 50 countries and produced 16 MoUs and agreements.
