Faisalabad : Like the rest of the country, October 27 was observed as a ‘Black Day’ regarding Kashmir at The University of Faisalabad. To mark this occasion, the university organized a panel discussion featuring Dr. Zill-e-Huma Rafiq, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pakistan Studies at Government College University Faisalabad; Dr. Awais Sattar, Head of the Department of Mass Communication; Dr. Naveed Anjum, Head of the International Relations program; and Hassan Javed (Advocate), Coordinator of the Department of Law. Addressing the students, Dr. Awais Sattar remarked that this day serves as a grim reminder of how the Indian occupation forces have shed the blood of Kashmiris on their own soil. Thousands of young people are being denied their fundamental right to self-determination. Dr. Zill-e-Huma Rafiq highlighted the significance of this day, while Dr. Naveed Anjum explained to the students how the international community has turned a blind eye to the issue of Kashmir. Hassan Javed (Advocate) addressed questions from the students regarding the challenges faced by the Kashmiri people. The attendees also raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) and “Kashmir Banega Pakistan” (Kashmir will become Pakistan).
