PDA Chairperson Urges Youth to Make the Most of Daanish IT Park

News Desk

Islamabad, October 14, 2026 – Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) Chairperson Dr. Sohail Munir has urged the country’s youth to benefit from the Daanish IT Park, inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on October 10. He described it as a launchpad for young coders and a step forward for Pakistan’s digital economy.

Dr. Munir said the park will help young people working in IT to excel in their fields and play a central role in growing the country’s IT and software exports. He said it shows that a developer in a small city has a place in the national economy and gives IT exports a base to grow from.

He credited the Prime Minister and Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja for championing the project and seeing it through. The park brings incubation centres, innovation hubs, startups and industry leaders together under one roof, with the aim of equipping young people with IT and AI skills, supporting new ideas and helping Pakistan compete globally.

Dr. Munir said Digital Nation Pakistan is the Prime Minister’s signature initiative and the park is where that vision takes physical form. Addressing young Pakistanis directly, he said: “To the young Pakistanis writing code in Gilgit, Gwadar or Gujranwala, this is your address. Come and build here.”

He said the park’s real measure will be the companies that start inside it and the exports that leave from it, signalling that the country is ready to back its own talent and a new generation of startups.
